Description

A delightful and creamy salad featuring ripe avocado and tender chicken, enhanced by fresh herbs and citrus.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 ripe avocado, diced
  • 1/4 cup fresh herbs (such as parsley, cilantro, or dill), chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon or lime juice
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: Crisp lettuce leaves, sandwich bread, or bowls for serving

Instructions

  1. Gather all your ingredients and tools. Shred the cooked chicken and chop the herbs.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken with the diced avocado.
  3. Add the freshly chopped herbs and drizzle the lemon or lime juice over the mixture.
  4. Season with salt and pepper. Gently fold the mixture together, being careful not to mash the avocado.
  5. Serve immediately on lettuce wraps, between sandwich bread, or in bowls with greens.

Notes

For best results, keep the avocado separate until just before serving to prevent browning.
