- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 ripe avocado, diced
- 1/4 cup fresh herbs (such as parsley, cilantro, or dill), chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon or lime juice
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: Crisp lettuce leaves, sandwich bread, or bowls for serving
Instructions
- Gather all your ingredients and tools. Shred the cooked chicken and chop the herbs.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken with the diced avocado.
- Add the freshly chopped herbs and drizzle the lemon or lime juice over the mixture.
- Season with salt and pepper. Gently fold the mixture together, being careful not to mash the avocado.
- Serve immediately on lettuce wraps, between sandwich bread, or in bowls with greens.
Notes
For best results, keep the avocado separate until just before serving to prevent browning.
