- 1 fully cooked ham (about 8–10 lbs)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Zest of 1 orange
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Mix together the brown sugar, honey, orange juice, cinnamon, cloves, black pepper, and orange zest in a mixing bowl.
- Create a diamond pattern by scoring the surface of the ham.
- Coat the ham generously with the glaze using a basting brush.
- Cover the ham loosely with aluminum foil.
- Bake for 1.5 to 2 hours, basting every 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil for the last 30 minutes of baking to allow the glaze to caramelize.
- Let the ham rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
- Carve the ham into slices and serve warm.
Notes
Make the glaze ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator for enhanced flavor.
