Description

Delicious and fluffy Carrot Cake Cinnamon Rolls topped with rich cream cheese frosting, combining the flavors of a classic cake in a delightful roll.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup grated carrots
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast in a mixing bowl. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Whisk together flour and salt in a separate bowl.
  3. Pour the yeast mixture, melted butter, and egg into the dry ingredients. Stir until a rough dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Fold in grated carrots, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  6. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour in a warm place.
  7. Roll the dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  8. Spread cream cheese, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
  9. Roll the dough tightly into a log, seal edges, and cut into 1-inch pieces.
  10. Place the pieces in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  11. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  12. Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla for the frosting.
  13. Cool rolls briefly before frosting them.
