Description

Ingredients

  • 10 oz fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 2 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 oz shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, finely chopped (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 6 slices thin-cut bacon
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Blanch the green beans in boiling salted water for 2 to 3 minutes, then transfer to an ice bath to stop cooking.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar, garlic, chives (if using), and black pepper until smooth.
  4. Divide green beans into 6 portions, place each on a slice of bacon, spread cheese mixture over, and roll tightly.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk olive oil, brown sugar, and smoked paprika, then glaze each bundle.
  6. Bake for 22-25 minutes, broiling for an additional 1-2 minutes for extra crispness.
  7. Allow to cool for 3-5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is soft for easy mixing. Blanching retains the green beans’ crunch.
