Description

Tender and juicy chicken koftas infused with aromatic spices, served with a creamy garlic yogurt sauce.


Ingredients

  • 500 grams ground chicken
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Combine ingredients in a large bowl: ground chicken, onion, garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper.
  2. Shape the mixture into small oval-shaped koftas.
  3. Prepare the grill by preheating it to medium heat and brushing with olive oil.
  4. Grill koftas for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Make garlic yogurt sauce by mixing yogurt, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt in a separate bowl.
  6. Serve grilled koftas warm with garlic yogurt sauce on the side.

Notes

Make kofta mix a day in advance for easier preparation. Ensure you check the doneness with a meat thermometer.
