- 2 cups carrots, sliced

- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Lightly steam the cauliflower, broccoli, and carrots until just tender, about 5 minutes.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat, then stir in the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until a smooth roux forms, about 2 minutes.
- Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens and bubbles, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheese until melted and smooth.
- In a large baking dish, combine the steamed vegetables with the cheese sauce, mixing gently.
- Sprinkle breadcrumbs over the top if desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown and bubbling.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
