Description

A delicious and easy-to-make casserole featuring tender potatoes, savory cheesesteak beef, and melted cheese, all cooked in a crockpot for a comforting dinner.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs potatoes, diced
  • 1 lb beef steak, sliced thin
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Layer the diced potatoes at the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. In a skillet, brown the sliced beef with onions and bell peppers until cooked through.
  3. Add the beef mixture on top of the potatoes in the crockpot.
  4. Pour the beef broth over the mixture.
  5. Sprinkle garlic powder, black pepper, and salt over the top.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  7. In the last 30 minutes of cooking, add the shredded cheddar cheese on top and cover until melted.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding Worcestershire sauce to the beef mixture.
  • Feel free to use other types of cheese for a different taste.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
