Description

A delightful fusion of Cuban sandwich flavors transformed into a comforting grilled cheese.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ounces roasted pork, thinly sliced
  • 4 ounces deli ham, thinly sliced
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 dill pickle slices
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 4 slices crusty white or Cuban bread
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Warm the skillet or griddle over medium heat until evenly heated.
  2. Spread unsalted butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. On the unbuttered side of two slices, spread one tablespoon of yellow mustard each.
  4. Layer two slices of Swiss cheese on each mustard-spread slice, followed by two ounces of ham, two ounces of roast pork, and two dill pickle slices.
  5. Top with the remaining bread slices, buttered side facing outward.
  6. Grill in the preheated skillet for 3 to 4 minutes on each side until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  7. Remove from skillet, slice in half, and serve immediately.

Notes

Customize with jalapeños or roasted red peppers for added flavor.
