- 200 ml heavy cream
- 2 pieces filet mignon (approximately 200g each)
- 50–60 g grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions
- Preheat your skillet: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
- Prepare the steak: Take your filet mignon out of the fridge to reach room temperature and season liberally with salt and pepper.
- Sear the meat: Cook the filets in the hot skillet for 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Remove the steak: Transfer the filets to a plate to rest.
- Make the sauce: In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
- Incorporate the cream: Stir in the Dijon mustard and heavy cream, whisking until the sauce is smooth.
- Add the cheese: Sprinkle in the grated parmesan and stir until melted.
- Combine and serve: Return the filet mignon to the skillet, coat with sauce, and drizzle before serving.
