Ingredients
Scale
- 4 fish fillets (salmon, hake, or your choice)
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons honey
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the fish: Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels, ensuring moisture is removed. Season generously with salt and pepper for flavor.
- Warm the pan: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and pour in the olive oil, letting it get hot and shimmering.
- Cook the fish: Place the seasoned fillets in the skillet, cooking for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden crust forms.
- Make the sauce: In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the Dijon mustard, honey, and lemon juice until smooth and well combined.
- Add the sauce: Once the fish is cooked through, pour the mustard-lemon sauce over the fillets in the skillet, allowing it to bubble for 1-2 minutes.
- Serve: Remove the fish from the skillet and place it on a serving dish, optionally garnishing with fresh parsley before serving hot.
Notes
You can prepare the sauce ahead of time and store it in the fridge. The dish is also versatile, allowing you to substitute fish types.
