- 4 medium zucchinis
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) while you prepare the zucchinis.
- Cut the zucchinis in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds.
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat with the chopped onion and minced garlic.
- Stir in the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, and add the marinara sauce.
- Fill each zucchini boat with the beef mixture.
- Top each boat with shredded cheese.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the cheese is golden brown.
- Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
Use firm zucchinis for the best results. Prepare the filling ahead of time for convenience.
