Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the bread flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast.
- In a separate bowl, warm the milk and mix in the softened butter until melted.
- Add the milk mixture and egg to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Punch down the dough and divide it into three equal pieces.
- Shape each piece into a ball and then roll them into logs.
- Place the logs in a greased loaf pan and let them rise again until doubled, about 30-45 minutes.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use whole milk instead of low-fat milk.
