Description

A creamy, garlicky casserole featuring tender chicken and earthy mushrooms, topped with golden, bubbling cheese.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken (shredded or diced)
  • 8 ounces mushrooms (sliced, button or cremini)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Add olive oil to a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Sauté sliced mushrooms until golden, about 5–7 minutes.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Combine cooked chicken, sautéed mushrooms, heavy cream, thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch casserole dish.
  7. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan on top.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes until the cheese is golden brown.
  9. Cool for a few minutes and garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

Make ahead by assembling and refrigerating before baking. Can use air fryer for smaller portions.
