Description

A deliciously creamy and cheesy skillet dish combining ground beef, tender broccoli, and savory spices, perfect for low-carb diets.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  2. Sauté the ground beef, breaking it apart into small crumbles, until golden brown (6-8 minutes).
  3. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, sauté for 3 minutes until translucent.
  4. Incorporate the broccoli florets into the skillet and stir gently.
  5. Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  6. Cover the skillet and steam for 5-7 minutes until broccoli is tender-crisp.
  7. Reduce heat to low and stir in the heavy cream.
  8. Melt the cheddar cheese on top, covering again until melted (2-3 minutes).
  9. Finish with Worcestershire sauce and red pepper flakes if using.
  10. Serve hot straight from the skillet.

Notes

Customize with bell peppers or different cheeses. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
