- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 cups mashed potatoes
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into meatballs.
- In a skillet, brown the meatballs over medium heat until cooked through.
- In a baking dish, spread half of the mashed potatoes on the bottom.
- Place the meatballs on top of the mashed potatoes.
- Pour marinara sauce over the meatballs.
- Spread the remaining mashed potatoes over the meatballs.
- Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Notes
- Feel free to use turkey or chicken instead of beef for a lighter option.
- For extra flavor, add herbs or spices to the mashed potatoes.
