- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup sour cream
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ¼ cup diced red onion
- ¼ cup bacon bits
- 2 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh dill or parsley, chopped
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Thaw the frozen peas by letting them sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes or rinsing them under cold water in a colander.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the thawed peas, shredded cheddar cheese, diced red onion, chopped hard-boiled eggs, and bacon bits.
- Gently pour the creamy dressing over the salad ingredients and fold carefully to coat.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
- Sprinkle fresh dill or parsley on top just before serving.
Notes
For a healthier version, consider substituting Greek yogurt for mayonnaise. You can also customize this salad with additional ingredients like bell peppers or sunflower seeds.
