Description

A nostalgic and comforting salad featuring sweet peas, crispy bacon, creamy dressing, and vibrant flavors, perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups frozen peas, thawed
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup diced red onion
  • ¼ cup bacon bits
  • 2 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill or parsley, chopped
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Thaw the frozen peas by letting them sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes or rinsing them under cold water in a colander.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the thawed peas, shredded cheddar cheese, diced red onion, chopped hard-boiled eggs, and bacon bits.
  4. Gently pour the creamy dressing over the salad ingredients and fold carefully to coat.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  6. Sprinkle fresh dill or parsley on top just before serving.

Notes

For a healthier version, consider substituting Greek yogurt for mayonnaise. You can also customize this salad with additional ingredients like bell peppers or sunflower seeds.
