Description

A colorful and creamy ice cream that evokes nostalgia and is perfect for summer celebrations.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Blue food coloring
  • Red food coloring
  • Optional toppings: Whipped cream and fresh berries

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract until well combined and fluffy.
  2. Divide the mixture into two separate bowls.
  3. Add blue food coloring to one bowl and red food coloring to the other, stirring until the desired colors are achieved.
  4. Layer the blue and red ice cream mixtures alternately in a large container or loaf pan, swirling to create a patriotic effect.
  5. Cover with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 240 minutes or until firm.
  6. Scoop into bowls and top with optional whipped cream and berries.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with full-fat coconut milk. Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to two weeks.
