Description

Irresistibly flaky scones infused with garlic and rich Parmesan cheese, perfect for any meal or occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, finely grated
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 3/4 cup whole milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and prepare a baking tray by lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and baking powder.
  3. Cut the cold butter into small cubes and incorporate it into the flour mixture using a pastry cutter or your fingertips.
  4. Fold in the finely grated Parmesan cheese and the minced garlic.
  5. Gradually pour in the whole milk, mixing gently until a soft dough forms.
  6. Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and pat it into a 1-inch thick disk. Cut it into 6 equal wedges.
  7. Arrange the cut wedges on the prepared baking tray.
  8. Bake for about 20 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, substitute with a 1:1 gluten-free flour blend. For dairy-free, use coconut oil and a non-dairy milk.
