Ingredients

- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Creamy chocolate or frosting for filling
- Valentine sprinkles for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin generously.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt, then gradually add this dry mixture to the creamed mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Using a cookie scoop or two spoons, fill the muffin tins with the cookie dough halfway.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden brown and centers are set yet slightly soft.
- Allow to cool slightly before pressing a small hole in the center of each with a finger or spoon.
- Fill each cup with creamy chocolate or frosting and top with Valentine sprinkles.
- Let cool completely before serving.
Notes
Make cookie dough in advance and store in the fridge for up to 48 hours. For a vegan option, substitute butter with vegan butter and use flax eggs.
