Description

Delightful apple turnovers filled with warm, spiced apples and wrapped in flaky biscuit dough.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups biscuit mix
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups apples, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for serving, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix the biscuit mix and milk until a dough forms.
  3. Roll out the dough on a floured surface until it reaches about 1/4 inch thick.
  4. Cut it into squares, roughly 4-5 inches on each side.
  5. Combine the diced apples, sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  6. Place a spoonful of the apple mixture in the center of each dough square.
  7. Fold the dough over diagonally to form triangles and seal the edges.
  8. Brush the tops with melted butter and egg wash.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Allow to cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

Make-ahead tips: Prepare filling the night before. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
