- 4 large Sweet Potatoes
- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 cup Water
- Pinch of Salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Peel and slice the sweet potatoes into uniform rounds, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Combine the butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract, water, and salt in a large pot over medium heat. Cook until the mixture thickens.
- Add the sliced sweet potatoes to the pot, stirring lightly to coat.
- Transfer the sweet potatoes to a baking dish, pouring any remaining syrup over the top.
- Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes to caramelize the syrup.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
