- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup apple cider
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your donut pan generously.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the apple cider, melted butter, and eggs until well combined.
- Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined.
- Fill each cavity of the donut pan about 2/3 full with the batter.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow the donuts to cool slightly on a wire rack before dipping them in warm caramel sauce.
- Enjoy them warm or at room temperature!
Notes
Substitute gluten-free flour if needed. Experiment with toppings like powdered sugar or sprinkles.
