Description

Deliciously fluffy cheese scones, perfect for tea time or a cozy brunch, bursting with rich flavors and versatility.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/2 cup diced ham
  • 3/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the cheese and ham.
  5. Add milk gradually, stirring until the dough comes together.
  6. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently.
  7. Roll out to about 1 inch thick and cut into desired shapes.
  8. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Serve warm.

Make ahead and store in the fridge for up to 2 days. Scones can be frozen for up to 3 months.
