- 1 lb chicken, cooked and shredded
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1 bag of frozen tater tots
- 1/2 cup frozen mixed vegetables (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, and mixed vegetables if using. Mix well.
- Grease your 9×13 inch baking dish thoroughly.
- Spread the chicken mixture evenly across the bottom of the baking dish.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the chicken mixture.
- Arrange the tater tots in a single layer on top of the cheese, overlapping slightly.
- Slide the dish into your preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow it to cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
You can prepare the casserole ahead of time and refrigerate overnight. Add a few extra minutes to baking time if starting from cold.
