Instructions
- Prepare the Peppers: Slice each banana pepper in half lengthwise and remove seeds.
- Mix the Coating: In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cornmeal, salt, and pepper.
- Coat the Peppers: Dip each pepper half into the flour mixture, coating thoroughly.
- Heat the Oil: In a frying pan, heat about an inch of vegetable oil until hot.
- Fry the Peppers: Add coated peppers in small batches, frying for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
- Drain and Cool: Remove peppers and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serve with a Smile: Arrange on a platter with ranch dressing in the center for dipping.
