- 1 cup deli meat (ham, turkey, or chicken), chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Swiss)
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Optional: chopped fresh herbs (parsley or chives)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.
- Grease your 9×13-inch baking dish generously with butter or cooking spray.
- Layer the torn croissants evenly in the dish.
- Scatter the chopped deli meat over the croissants, followed by the shredded cheese.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over everything, gently pressing down the croissant pieces.
- Allow the casserole to sit for 10-15 minutes.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the egg is set.
- Dust with fresh herbs if desired and serve warm.
Notes
For best results, allow croissants to sit out for a few hours for optimal absorption. This casserole can also be prepared ahead of time and left in the fridge overnight.
