Description

A delightful dessert featuring layers of creamy custard and crunchy malt biscuits, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Malt biscuits
  • Optional: Fresh fruits, chocolate drizzle, or toasted nuts

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the milk, sugar, cornstarch, and salt in a medium saucepan until smooth.
  2. Heat the mixture over medium heat for about 8-10 minutes, stirring frequently, until it thickens.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the butter and vanilla extract, allowing them to melt.
  4. Let it cool slightly for about 10 minutes.
  5. Layer the malt biscuits in your serving dish, spooning custard over. Repeat until all is used.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least two hours to set.
  7. Serve chilled and garnish as desired.

Notes

Can be made a day in advance for best flavor. Avoid cooking over high heat to prevent curdling.
