- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups potatoes, diced
- 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 cup green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Heat your large skillet over medium heat and add in the ground beef. Cook until it turns golden brown, breaking it into smaller pieces.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the onion is translucent.
- Toss in the diced potatoes, stirring to combine. Let them cook for about 10 minutes until tender.
- Pour in the diced tomatoes and green bell pepper. Sprinkle with paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix and let it cook for 5-7 minutes.
- If using cheese, sprinkle it over the top now and cover the skillet. Allow it to melt gently.
- Present your Hamburger Hash hot from the skillet, garnished with parsley.
