- 4 medium potatoes, sliced
- 2 cups fresh green beans, trimmed and cut
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup beef broth or water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent (about 3-4 minutes).
- Layer the sliced potatoes in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish evenly.
- Spread the beef mixture over the potatoes, followed by the green beans.
- Pour the beef broth or water over the layers and season with salt and pepper.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil, sprinkle cheese over the top, and bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Cool slightly before serving.
