Description

A comforting and hearty casserole featuring layers of ground beef, potatoes, green beans, and melted cheese, perfect for family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 2 cups fresh green beans, trimmed and cut
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup beef broth or water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent (about 3-4 minutes).
  4. Layer the sliced potatoes in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish evenly.
  5. Spread the beef mixture over the potatoes, followed by the green beans.
  6. Pour the beef broth or water over the layers and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil, sprinkle cheese over the top, and bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  9. Cool slightly before serving.
