Description

A vibrant and flavorful homemade salsa made with fresh tomatoes, onions, cilantro, and jalapeño, perfect for dipping or as a topping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe tomatoes, diced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Begin by dicing your tomatoes, chopping the onion, and mincing the garlic and jalapeño.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped onion, minced garlic, and jalapeño.
  3. Add the chopped cilantro and squeeze the lime juice over the mixture.
  4. Stir well, ensuring each bite is infused with zesty goodness.
  5. Season with salt to taste, adjusting as necessary.
  6. Let the salsa sit for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  7. Serve chilled with tortilla chips or as a topping for tacos and burritos.

Notes

Salsa tastes even better the next day. You can prepare it a few hours in advance for optimal flavor development.
