Description

A delightful blend of smoky sausage and creamy cheese wrapped in flaky crescent rolls, these Jalapeño Popper Pigs in a Blanket are crowd-pleasers perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package of sausage links
  • 1 package of jalapeños
  • 1 package of cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can of refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup of shredded cheese (sharp cheddar, Monterey Jack, or pepper jack)
  • Optional: bacon bits

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Blend the softened cream cheese, shredded cheese, and sliced jalapeños in a mixing bowl until thoroughly mixed.
  3. Roll out the crescent roll dough and cut it into triangles along the perforations.
  4. Place a sausage link on the wide end of each triangle and add a spoonful of the cheese mixture on top.
  5. Roll the dough around the sausage and filling, tucking it in snugly.
  6. Arrange the rolled bites on a lined baking sheet, spacing them evenly.
  7. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until they turn golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, consider sprinkling in cooked bacon bits into the cheese mixture. Make-ahead tips include preparing the filling in advance and refrigerating.
