Description

Indulge in these rich and gooey Pecan Pie Bars, featuring a buttery crust and a caramelized filling that celebrates the flavor of pecans.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups pecans, chopped
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup bourbon
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Prepare the crust by creaming together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Mix the dry ingredients by gradually adding all-purpose flour and salt until a soft, crumbly dough forms.
  4. Press the crust mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
  5. Prepare the filling by beating the eggs and stirring in the corn syrup, bourbon, and cinnamon until smooth.
  6. Add the chopped pecans and gently fold to combine.
  7. Pour the pecan mixture over the crust, spreading it evenly.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the filling is set and lightly browned.
  9. Cool completely before slicing into squares.

Notes

For easy removal, use parchment paper in the baking pan. These bars can be made a day in advance and stored in an airtight container.
