- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups pecans, chopped
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 1/2 cup bourbon
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Prepare the crust by creaming together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Mix the dry ingredients by gradually adding all-purpose flour and salt until a soft, crumbly dough forms.
- Press the crust mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
- Prepare the filling by beating the eggs and stirring in the corn syrup, bourbon, and cinnamon until smooth.
- Add the chopped pecans and gently fold to combine.
- Pour the pecan mixture over the crust, spreading it evenly.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the filling is set and lightly browned.
- Cool completely before slicing into squares.
Notes
For easy removal, use parchment paper in the baking pan. These bars can be made a day in advance and stored in an airtight container.
