Ingredients

- 4 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and chopped
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 4 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Peel and chop the sweet potatoes.
- Boil them in salted water until fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Drain the sweet potatoes and return them to the pot.
- Add the milk, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper; mash until smooth.
- Pour into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Prepare the topping by mixing melted butter with walnuts and breadcrumbs.
- Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over the sweet potatoes.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve warm as a delightful side dish.
