Description

A delightful Snowball Cake featuring moist chocolate layers with marshmallow frosting and a crunchy coconut topping.


Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup marshmallow fluff
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups sweetened shredded coconut

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour two round cake pans.
  2. Combine the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs in a large mixing bowl, then blend until smooth.
  3. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
  4. Bake for 30-35 minutes, checking with a toothpick for doneness.
  5. Cool the cakes in the pans for 10 minutes, then turn them out onto a wire rack.
  6. Whip heavy cream in a separate bowl until stiff peaks form, then fold in the marshmallow fluff.
  7. Place one cake layer on a serving plate and spread frosting on top.
  8. Layer the second cake on top and frost the entire cake.
  9. Coax shredded coconut onto the frosting, pressing gently.
