- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup water
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup marshmallow fluff
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups sweetened shredded coconut
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour two round cake pans.
- Combine the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs in a large mixing bowl, then blend until smooth.
- Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, checking with a toothpick for doneness.
- Cool the cakes in the pans for 10 minutes, then turn them out onto a wire rack.
- Whip heavy cream in a separate bowl until stiff peaks form, then fold in the marshmallow fluff.
- Place one cake layer on a serving plate and spread frosting on top.
- Layer the second cake on top and frost the entire cake.
- Coax shredded coconut onto the frosting, pressing gently.
