Description

Delightfully soft and chewy cinnamon sugar cookie puffs that melt in your mouth, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for rolling)
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon (for rolling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy baking.
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  3. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then, stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon for rolling.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough, roll them into balls, and coat in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  8. Place the cookie dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches of space between each one.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden but the centers remain soft.
  10. Cool on the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Make-ahead tips: chill the dough for enhanced flavor. You can also add chocolate chips or nuts for customization.
