- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Combine the sourdough starter, warm water, and sugar in a large mixing bowl; stir until fully dissolved.
- Add the flour, salt, and olive oil gradually; mix until a shaggy dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp towel, and let it rise for 1-2 hours.
- Punch down the dough gently to release the air, then shape it into a loaf.
- Cover and let it rise again for about 30-60 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake the bread for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow the bread to cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.
Notes
For deeper flavors, let the dough rise slowly in the fridge overnight. Use warm water to kickstart your starter.
