Description

A delightful dessert featuring a flaky crescent dough filled with a creamy, tangy cream cheese mixture and topped with fresh strawberries.


Ingredients

  • 1 can crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced
  • 1 lemon, zested and juiced
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine softened cream cheese, sugar, lemon juice, lemon zest, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  4. Arrange the triangles in a circle on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, overlapping the wider ends slightly.
  5. Spread the creamy filling evenly over the overlapping dough, then top with sliced strawberries.
  6. Fold the pointed ends of the dough triangles over the filling to create peaks.
  7. Brush the ring with an egg wash.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
