- Heat the Saucepan: Place your medium-sized saucepan on medium heat. Add the chopped pineapple, garlic, and ginger into the pan, letting them sauté for about 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the Other Ingredients: Pour in the rice vinegar and soy sauce, followed by the sugar and red chili flakes.
- Simmer: Allow the sauce to come to a gentle simmer for about 10-15 minutes.
- Thicken the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with water, then gradually add this mixture to the sauce while stirring.
- Taste and Adjust: Give your sauce a taste and feel free to add more chili flakes or sugar as desired.
- Cool and Store: Remove the sauce from heat, let cool, and transfer to a jar.
