Description

A delightful jam combining vibrant strawberries with the invigorating spice of jalapeños, perfect for elevating dishes or enjoyed on toast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped jalapeños
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 package (1.75 oz) fruit pectin

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients by hulking and chopping the strawberries and finely chopping the jalapeños.
  2. Combine the strawberries, jalapeños, and lemon juice in a large pot.
  3. Heat the mixture over medium heat until it reaches a gentle boil, stirring regularly.
  4. Add the sugar all at once once boiling; stir until it fully dissolves.
  5. Incorporate the fruit pectin and return to a rolling boil; cook for about one minute while constantly stirring.
  6. Jar the jam into sterilized jars using a funnel, wipe the rims, and secure the lids.
  7. Let the jars cool completely at room temperature before storing.

Notes

Store in the refrigerator for up to three weeks or can for longer shelf life. For a smoky flavor, consider roasting the jalapeños before adding them.
